This general term covers any small box or container that fits the purposes of sewing, and like an etui, usually only contains a restricted amount of tools and does not have the capacity to incorporate reels and other similar accessories. Again, the materials and scope are too large to cover here and the term is loosely used, covering a wide range of smaller boxes in may different formats and materials.
