Bleasdales Ltd provide auction and valuation services acting as an intermediary between buyers and sellers, valuations may include providing probate and insurance valuations for legal reasons. To provide these services we hold and process personal data.

The information we collect and hold is provided directly by you, either through our online auction platform (managed by a third party service provider) or via telephone, email, letter, invoicing or our online contact form.
We only collect information that it is adequate, relevant and limited to the purposes of the auctions and valuation services we provide.

We only disclose information to third parties who either help us perform a contract or help us fulfil our legal obligations and legitimate interests.
Why do Bleasdales Ltd Hold and Process Your Personal Information?
You have either bought or sold items through Bleasdales Ltd or registered to receive information from us either by directly contacting us or by contacting a third party service provider who helps us provide a service or contract – for example the saleroom.com, who provide an online catalogue and auction service for our sales.
In order to provide the service you have subscribed to we hold and process personal data which has been supplied by you.
This data is held for no longer than six years, (unless you wish us to continue providing services after this point) and helps us to perform our contract with you, for example enabling you to buy or sell lots through one of our auctions, and it also forms part of our mutual legitimate interests, helping us keep you informed about forthcoming sales and lots that may be of interest to you. Our pre sale email alerts form a core part of this service and we will continue to send these to you unless you advise us that you no longer wish to receive them, which you can do at any time, either by using the unsubscribe option, included at the bottom of all our pre-sale email alerts or by telephone, letter or email.
What Information Do We Hold?

In the case of valuation documents or items submitted for sale we may also hold descriptions and estimated values of property/collections that you own.
In many cases, for example if you have subscribed to receive our e-newsletter we may only hold two pieces of personal information, such as name and email.
NB: (Special category) Sensitive Personal Information
We do not hold payment information with any of your personal details . Payments are processed either by a secure third party provider such as the saleroom.com, Paypal or our bank.
We do not hold other forms of sensitive personal information but our third party service providers such as the saleroom.com may retain additional information such as failure to pay following a successful online bid, but while we have access to this information, as a legitimate interest, we do not hold our process it ourselves.

We do use Cookies on our website but the data collected on all pages (except the contact form which forms part of our mutual legitimate interests) does not allow us to personally identify users.

How Do We Protect Your Information?
Security and confidentially are important to our clients and to us and we employ data protection by design and by default. We use SSL protocols on our website, a password protected database management system. We are not complacent and continuously monitor and review digital security.
It is our responsibility to ensure that we have procedures in place to identify data breaches swiftly and efficiently and that we report any breaches to the ICO within a 72 hours period.
